Welcome to my website! This has been an exciting journey for me, and I am pleased with how it has evolved over time. In the beginning, I was determined to build the entire site from scratch, using various resources such as YouTube and other online tutorials to piece together elements that I liked. However, I eventually came to realize that while it is certainly impressive to be able to code a website entirely from scratch, it is not necessarily a necessary skill.
That's when I discovered the power of bootstrap. This framework provided a strong foundation for me to build upon, and allowed me to explore different tools for creating basic website elements. Implementing bootstrap was relatively straightforward, and I plan to continue customizing and personalizing the site over time to make it more unique and reflective of myself.
One important lesson I learned from this process is the value of creating a minimum viable product. It's easy to get caught up in the details and spend hours or even days working on something without making any tangible progress. By focusing on creating an MVP, I can ensure that I am making progress and getting something out there, even if it's not perfect. This is a habit I plan to carry over to future projects as well.
I have also gained a lot of valuable experience in web development through my time at State Farm, where I worked on a team building web applications for use by State Farm agents. This gave me the opportunity to work on both the front-end and back-end of web applications, and has helped me develop the skills needed to build and modify this site.
In addition to technical skills, I have also learned the importance of using tools like Jira to manage my workflow. Throughout my education and professional career, I have used various tools to help me stay organized and on track, and Jira is a simple yet effective solution that meets my needs.
Overall, I am proud of the progress I have made and am excited to continue updating and improving this site. I hope it serves as a showcase for my skills and helps me get more exposure in the web development community. Stay tuned for more updates!
